I served as caregiver for my parents from Nov 1998 until Sep 21 2007. Dad had Alzheimer's and he and I frequently sat on the porch of his home. I am making my own porch now.

Oh my gosh! It's so adorable! What a treasure for years to come.
Oh Flinty, I m so glad you have a brood of Grand Children. I think you wil find they will all become such a Joy & Comfort for You! I know my Uncle in O.C. is just Ga-Ga over his.
I am waiting for the arrival of a very special home-made gift myself. A painting that my girlfriend's 87 Year-Old-Step-Father, that she is caring for painted for me, he also has AD.
I've only met him one, this summer but he is such a sweet-heart. He took up painting (water colors, my favorite!) at the "Adult Day Care Center" and he is quite good! He used one of my Photos of the Oregon Coast, I can't wait to share it with eveyone!
How adorable! Your granddaughter did a wonderful job.
aww thats so cute! I used to do those types of things when I was a kid. I would make lots of stuff for Nonna. She loved every little thing I gave her even when it was really ugly. What your granddaughter made you is really nice!! I am sure you would love it though even if it was ugly. LOL
adorable. i can remember when the boys were younger and made things like that. i still have a few.
guess i have a lot to look forward to in years to come!
